Deadline for responses to the consultation is approaching

The deadline for the consultation is 11.59pm on Thursday 26 April 2018.  Have you had your say yet?

You can still contribute and submit your views through the Inquiry's online consultation, or if that is not possible provide a response to the consultation on Terms of Reference by email to: [email protected]. Responses can be provided anonymously if wished. This will need to be done before the 11.59pm deadline on 26 April 2018.

The Chair hopes that those submitting views will understand the need for this deadline. Statutory Inquiries such as this are subject to the provisions of the Inquiries Act 2005 and The Inquiry Rules 2006 (see www.legislation.gov.uk). This means that the Inquiry cannot receive evidence or seek it out until its Terms of Reference have been set out by the Minister for the Cabinet Office, David Lidington. Naturally the Chair wants to make his recommendations to the Minister as soon as possible.

It will not be possible to answer individual responses, but their receipt will be acknowledged, and all views provided by the deadline will be taken into consideration. Once the responses to the consultation have been analysed and considered the Chair will make his recommendation to the Minister.
